2025 SCHOLARSHIPS

The Aledo QB Club is proud to be able to award a small number of scholarships each year to graduating senior Bearcats as they pursue a continuing education. This year's scholarship application is available now at the link below. Please review the following application eligibility requirements and the volunteer hour requirements below thoroughly before applying. Thank you to our Senior Bearcats and Good Luck!


APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

The applicant must be a graduating senior at Aledo ISD in good academic standing and must have participated in Aledo High School Football or been a Student Athletic Trainer during their senior year.

The applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 through the conclusion of the Fall semester of their senior year. A current copy of the applicant’s transcript is required for verification of GPA requirement.

The applicant must plan to attend an accredited 2 or 4 year university, college, community college, or vocational/technical institute beginning in the Fall of the applicant’s graduation year from Aledo High School.

The applicant must submit a typed essay (minimum 500 words) chosen from one of the following topics:

Who in your athletic life has been your biggest influence and why?

How has high school athletic participation helped prepare you for the future?

The applicant must submit a minimum of (2) letters of recommendation from a non-family member (friend, mentor, pastor, coach, teacher, employer, etc.) explaining why the applicant is deserving of a scholarship award.

Applicants who have been awarded a full collegiate athletic and/or academic scholarship are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply for the Aledo QB Club Scholarship. The term “full” refers to the payment in full of tuition, room and board, books and fees for full school year by any combination of scholarships or grants.

Applicant’s family must be a member of the Aledo QB Booster Club no later than April 1st, 2025. Beginning with the class of 2028, the applicant’s family must be members each year the applicant participates in AHS football or student athletic training.


SCHOLARSHIP VOLUNTEER HOUR REQUIREMENT:

Applicant or Applicant’s family must complete the minimum number of volunteer hours as indicated by the membership level for which they applied for each year of membership. These hours can range from 0 to 6 for each year of membership starting with the 2024-2025 school year. Here is the breakdown:

Class of 2025 – 0 to 6 cumulative hours depending on membership level

Class of 2026 – 0 to 12 cumulative hours depending on membership level

Class of 2027 – 0 to 18 cumulative hours depending on membership level

Class of 2028 & beyond – 0 to 24 cumulative hours depending on membership level

These hours must be fulfilled with Aledo QB Booster Club volunteer opportunities (i.e. Concession Stand, Merchandise Sale Events and Game Tables, Meet the Bearcats Event, etc.) that are available for signup each year through the club’s Volunteer Signup Tool. Verification of volunteer hour requirements will be conducted through a report from the Volunteer Signup Tool.

Volunteer requirements are per individual applicant.

The applicant, their parents or guardians, and/or grandparents may all volunteer and all hours worked will count towards fulfilling the volunteer hour required for the applicant.

Completed Application Packages are Due By the First Friday in April at 11:59 PM. Incomplete Applications WILL NOT be considered. NO EXCEPTIONS!
